6 of the animals that make up our amazing selection of full body puppets

We have always been advocates here at Puppets By Post of the simple joys of the puppet, for children and adults alike – but that doesn’t mean puppets can’t be ambitious! This much is shown by our extensive online selection of animal-themed full body puppets, so we thought it might be a good time to introduce some of them to you!

Here are just six of the animals with which you and a child in your care can have a real wild time.

Brown & White Dog

With Christmas so rapidly looming, it seems apposite for us to reiterate that a dog isn’t just for the festive season – and the situation’s no different with our large and full-bodied brown and white dog puppet. The good news is that he’s so adorable, no child will ever want to be without him anyway.

Black & Shiny Dragon

Dragons may be pretty intimidating things in all of those children’s stories, but they don’t have to be – indeed, this hand puppet made from life-like shiny scaled material, covering the whole length of the operator’s arm, can be as fierce or as friendly as you like.

Giraffe

You must be having a giraffe if you seriously think we’d have a giraffe among our range of full body puppets... well, as it happens, we do! Don’t worry – his neck’s not quite as long as a real giraffe’s, so you’ll be able to fit him in the house or nursery. He is also – of course – a lovely and cute little thing.

Large Bird – Scarlet Macaw

Allow your child’s imagination to take flight – if not quite literally – with this vibrant macaw, which offers good mouth movement and a loud squeaker. You might even be tempted to ask him whether he’s a pretty Polly, but... well... we think we know the answer to that question already.

Blue Whale

Thankfully, this Blue Whale hand puppet isn’t to scale with actual Blue Whales, but it’s still a gorgeous and striking thing at 18cm tall, 80cm long and 20cm wide. Your hand can access him via his belly, which makes for brilliant mouth manipulation.

Yellow Funky Monkey

How could we not have a fabulous monkey in our range of full body puppets? This guy is a wonderfully bright, high-quality plush with great mouth movement, while his hands have Velcro on them, meaning he can even be hung around your neck.
